Root Canal Therapy
Getting a root canal never sounds like fun. However, we’ll make sure you’re relaxed through the entire procedure, so you’ll never be in pain. Because Dr. Scott believes in saving natural teeth when possible, he can utilize anterior/premolar or molar endodontic therapy for long-lasting results. Depending on personal circumstances, root canals can help restore a damaged tooth in the comfort of our office, by the team you trust.
Crowns & Bridges
Crowns are porcelain restorations designed to fix a broken, badly damaged tooth or one that has a large failed filling. Crowns make the tooth more structurally stable by precisely fitting over the entire tooth. Bridges can replace a series of missing teeth by using crowns to anchor prosthetic teeth in their absence. We use both metal-free or porcelain-fused-to-metal bridges and crowns, depending on which is most appropriate for your case.
Fillings
Mercury-free fillings are an important component of dentistry because of their efficient ability to repair cracked, broken teeth. We use tooth-colored composite material to fill in your tooth where decay took hold, and avoid amalgam (silver) fillings for better biocompatibility and overall wellness safety. This quick, comfortable process is designed to help improve function and reduce discomfort due to cavities or teeth that are worn down.
Partials & Dentures
Dentures and partials are an option for patients with moderate tooth loss. If you want a full set of teeth, talk to our team about how traditional dentures may work for you. Both of these prosthetics are customized and sent to a local, trusted lab for fabrication, so they fit pleasantly every time you wear them. Your teeth will look natural, and you’ll be proud to show off your new smile.
Implants
For a more permanent solution to missing teeth, consider dental implants. A surgical-grade titanium or zirconia dental root implant is placed in the jaw to act as a “root” for a crown or as an anchor for a permanent set of dentures. Implants are durable and can last a lifetime. For more information, check out our Implant Dentistry page.
Oral Surgery
Should you need to have a tooth extracted, know you’re in good hands at Paragon Dental. We perform minor oral surgery in our office, and will never hesitate to refer you to a skilled specialist for more advanced surgical procedures, such as wisdom teeth extraction, extensive bone grafting, biopsies, or TMJ disorders.
Technology
We pride ourselves on having the most up-to-date digital imaging and radiography equipment in our office. Dr. Scott is pleased to be one of the few dentists in the area to offer patients cone beam Computer Tomography (CBCT) imaging for added precision in diagnosis and treatment planning. A CBCT scan is performed in about 20 seconds, with the patient seated comfortably and able to see results instantly. Dr. Scott uses this highly-accurate technology to assess possible implant, oral surgery, and orthodontic issues and more clearly understand what treatment and techniques will be most effective. Our team is also skilled in using Velscope technology to diagnose oral cancer effectively, by identifying precancerous tissues for timely treatment.
